Relationships are the foundation of everything we do. My mother, Demetria, was a real estate trailblazer in Southern Maine and shaped our Team’s client-focused approach. Building upon this strong legacy, I am proud to lead the next generation of our business, shape the real estate industry and implement innovative, forward-looking strategies to delight our clients.
I grew up in a real estate family, but it didn’t start out that way. My parents were both educators. After I was born, my mom pivoted to real estate with a simple goal—to ensure that her children could afford any educational opportunity we might wish to pursue.
Witnessing my mother, Demetria, an absolute trailblazer, build her brand and reputation was nothing short of inspiring. Through hard work, inspired vision, and a love for helping people, she grew to become a nationally recognized top agent, etching her name into real estate history.
As Demetria became a household name throughout Southern Maine, my dad joined the real estate Team. Not to be left out, my sister and I were also trained at a young age to pitch in! I have vivid early memories of stamping postcards, folding brochures and taking detailed phone messages. When I turned 18 and graduated high school, I obtained my real estate license, knowing that I would pursue my own passions but would always keep a foot in the real estate business.
When my sister, Kyra, was accepted to Yale University for college, I was incredibly proud. Her achievement and my parents’ unwavering support inspired me to take the bold step of applying to Harvard—and I got in! In college, I studied government, returning to Maine during the summer to sell real estate, learn the ropes and help the family business. Later, I attended Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School and received a JD-MBA, developing financial, negotiation and legal skills that I put to work every day for my clients.
I love solving problems and finding better ways to get things done. After graduate school, I explored exciting career opportunities, including working as a consultant at McKinsey for some of the world’s leading companies. Over time, I missed the sense of community I felt in Maine, and I wanted to be closer to my family. In 2015, I returned to my Maine roots, accepting a position as a senior policy advisor to the Governor of Maine, an exciting, impactful role.
Real estate was never far from my mind. It is the bedrock of every community and foundational to the finances of every family. My return to real estate accelerated after my mother received a cancer diagnosis in 2018. It was a gut punch, knowing that I would soon lose my greatest role model and the strongest woman I’ve ever known. As we confronted this reality, we made a plan for me to return to the business, surrounded by the amazing Team that she built, who enabled a seamless transition for the business and our clients.
The passing of my mother marked a significant shift in my life, personally and professionally. It was an emotional time for our family; her absence was felt throughout the entire community. She ran her business on relationships and on integrity, prioritizing doing the right thing. Stepping into her shoes was daunting, but I knew if I stayed true to her vision and her values, I could carry forward her legacy, forging my own way as a leader in the industry while leaning on the many lessons my mother taught me. Several years later, I am proud of the modern legacy that we are continuing to shape.
Spending time with family and friends is a big part of my life. My father, Dennis, still works with me, supporting our Team and our mission. Whether I am enjoying local restaurants and craft breweries with friends or spending time with my niece, Athena, I deeply value these close relationships!
For our Team, the work that we do is not about buying or selling. It’s not about the deal. It is about building long term, meaningful relationships, solving problems, and navigating challenges with heart and authenticity. With extensive experience in the industry, we apply our knowledge to the 'here and now' while constantly innovating to serve our clients better.
Carol Petersen, our client care manager, is more than just a work colleague; she’s extended family. Carol was one of Demetria’s students and was her assistant field hockey coach before joining our Team over 20 years ago. Steve Libby is our talented Buyer Specialist with over 25 years of experience helping buyers find the right home. Dan Tarsetti is our Team’s newest addition, bringing a fresh approach to digital media with a background in radio broadcasting and a love for helping our clients.
Our approach is deeply client centric. We're committed to being trusted advisors, ensuring that your needs, goals and experiences are our priority. Our aim? To provide a world-class real estate experience that surpasses expectations, creating clients for life.
